Security
This web site takes every precaution to protect customer information. Sensitive information is protected, both online and offline. The server establishes strong 256-bit encryption upon entry, and remains in high-security mode throughout. The web site complies with PCI DSS banking industry standards as certified by SecurityMetrics.

Information Collection
AllianceLearn, LLC does not sell, and remains the sole owner of the information collected on Learn4Health.com. AllianceLearn, LLC collects information from our users at several different points on our Web site. All information is transmitted and stored securely. Information Use Name, address and credit card information is used to complete purchase of web based Continuing Education Items. E-mail and shipping address information is used to send update and newsletter information to members who optionally elect to receive such information. Members may option out to not receive update and newsletter information by updating membership account information. We do not retain users' credit card information. User information is never shared with third parties solely for purposes of advertising or solicitation.

Membership Account Registration
In order to purchase a Continuing Education Certificate, the user is required to create a membership account, and to supply name, e-mail address, profession and password information. It is optional for the user to provide phone number, and alternate e-mail address. In order to enter and search this Web site, a user is not required to create a membership account.

Purchase
We request information from the user in order to purchase an Item. A user must provide contact information including billing and contact address and credit card number, and expiration date. This information is used for billing purposes and to fill customer's orders. If we have trouble processing an order, the information is used to contact the user.

Profile
We do not store information that we collect through cookies, and log files, to create a profile of our users.

Cookies
A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's computer tied to information about the user. We use both session ID cookies and persistent cookies. For the session ID cookie, once users close the browser, the cookie simply terminates. A persistent cookie is a small text file stored on the user's hard drive for an extended period of time. Persistent cookies can be removed by following Internet browser help file directions.

By setting a cookie on our site, users would not have to log in a password more than once, thereby saving time while on our site. If users reject the cookie, they may not be able to properly use our site. Persistent cookies enable us to target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our site.

Log Files
Like most standard Web site servers we use log files. This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user's movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information.

Clear Gifs
We do not employ a software technology called clear gifs a.k.a. Web Beacons/Web Bugs.

Special Offers and Updates
Established members will occasionally receive information on products, services, and a newsletter. Out of respect for the privacy of our users we present the option to not receive these types of communications. Please see the Choice and Opt-out sections.

Sharing
Legal Disclaimer
Though we make every effort to preserve user privacy, we may need to disclose personal information when required by law wherein we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process served on our Web site.

Aggregate Information (non-personally identifiable)
We share aggregated demographic information with our partners and affiliates. This is not linked to any personally identifiable information.

Third Party Intermediaries
We use a credit card processing company to bill users for goods and services. This company does not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes.

Service Providers
We partner with PsychoEducational Resources, Inc to maintain responsibility for CE credit certification. When the user signs up for e-learning CE certificates, we share contact information, which is necessary for the third party to provide these services. These third parties are not allowed to use personally identifiable information except for the purpose of providing these services.

Business Transitions
In the event AllianceLearn, LLC goes through a business transition, such as a merger, being acquired by another company, or selling a portion of its assets, users' personal information will, in most instances, not be part of the assets transferred. Users will be notified via prominent notice on our Web site for 30 days prior to a change of ownership or control of their personal information. If as a result of the business transition, the users' personally identifiable information will be used in a manner different from that stated at the time of collection they will be given choice consistent with our notification of changes section.

Choice/Opt-out
Our users are given the opportunity to 'opt-out' of having their information used for purposes not directly related to our site at the point where we ask for information. For example, our membership account form has an 'opt-out' mechanism so users who establish a membership account, but don't want e-mail updates, can keep their email address off of our lists.

Correcting/Updating/Deleting/Deactivating Personal Information If a user's personally identifiable information changes (such as zip code, phone, email or postal address), or if a user no longer desires our service, we provide a way to correct, update or delete/deactivate users' personally identifiable information. This can usually be done at the membership account page or by emailing our Customer Support at customerservice@learn4health.com. Or, contact us by telephone or postal mail at the contact information listed below.

Notification of Changes
If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes to this privacy statement, the homepage, and other places we deem appropriate so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. We will use information in accordance with the privacy policy under which the information was collected.

If, however, we are going to use users' personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time of collection we will notify users via email. Users will have a choice as to whether or not we use their information in this different manner. However, if users have opted out of all communication with the site, or deleted/deactivated their account, then they will not be contacted, nor will their personal information be used in this new manner.
